A small town in Connecticut. Is this setting of Among Friends via Caroline B. Cooney. The season is from the earliest starting point of the school year, as far as possible of the school year.      The principle characters in this book are Jennie, Paul, Emily, Hillary, Jared, and Ansley. All the principle characters are youngsters in secondary school. Jennie is a piece of the magnificent trio. She generally gets passing marks on tests regardless of whether she doesn’t study. Individuals begrudge her for that. Paul is likewise know as Paul Classified on the grounds that nobody knows anything about him, they don’t even know his center name. Jennie likes Paul and she plays with him constantly. Emily and Hillary are a piece of the great trio as well. Jared and Ansley are sweetheart and sweetheart. The two of them loathe Jennie on the grounds that she is so mainstream and clever.           The struggle in this book is man versus himself. Jennie needs to choose whether she needs to remain some portion of the great trio, or make a state record by winning the prize for the sharpest child in the state 2 years straight like her folks need her to.      This book begins by the great trio, Emily (otherwise called Em), Hillary, and Jennie skirting through the foyer with their arms connected firmly together. They have been closest companions as far as they could recall. Throughout the mid year, Em and Hill went to Colorado to ski. Generally Jennie goes to, yet this year she didn’t. Em and Hill could feel Jennie evading the great trio. All Jennie did was play with Paul Smith. Jennie got picked to speak to the school in a test called Star Student. It is a test to perceive how savvy you are. The one, who wins, will get ten thousand dollars and a decoration. Jennie is so savvy and flawless that Hillary and Em cannot bear it any longer and they begin being coldblooded to her. They overlook her and they do stuff without her. She gets furious and she says the scratch pad she writes in is her lone companion. She thinks nobody likes.      While she is at the star understudy challenge, during the principal test she comes up short on the room. She never returned. Individuals are stressed over her. A few people are stating it’s in light of the fact that her folks pushed her to an extreme, or on the grounds that she was discouraged, and some state she got killed.
